NAEP’s Global Education Transformation System (GETS) is a comprehensive school improvement model that transforms the way teaching and learning take place.
It is designed specifically to strengthen, develop, and sustain academic and organizational improvement to the high degree required to accelerate student academic outcomes. GETS RESULTS is a seven element, data-driven process that targets effective learning inside and outside of the classroom.
Educators have grown weary of “sit and watch” training presentations, and who can blame them. NAEP’s training and support sessions are interactive and engage cognitive inquiry AND outcome-driven next steps development.
NAEP also understands the importance of tracking professional growth and the return on investment for training. Our next level professional development-monitoring process ensures that identified participant development efforts are successful by design.
All modules and training opportunities attended by participants are outlined in a Professional Development Skill Management System.
Measurement is key to effective effort, which is why we developed a mechanism to measure the transfer of professional learning to teacher and leader practice.
To maximize the monitoring and thus enhancement of results, adult behavior competencies trained by NAEP, for the most part, align to the Instructional Core model developed by Richard Elmore in his Instructional Rounds framework.
Each competency is explicitly designed and trained via an approach that encapsulates the anticipated effect on the three elements of the core: The Level of Content, Methodology, and Student Engagement. This framework is modified for School Leaders to ensure relevance as NAEP customizes its support efforts to fit the needs of both the teachers and the individuals monitoring, supporting, and guiding them.
